Good Morning!

Happy Wednesday!

The days of my retail employment are coming to an end and I am feeling OH-SO-GRATEFUL for this. I do have to say though, it is absolutely bittersweet. I have learned so much in the past year about myself and about working. I have gained skill sets I didn't know were possible for me. I learned them in places I never thought I would as I came into both of my jobs with a negative attitude that I pleasantly disguised.

I found out that there is no reason to look down on people working in retail positions. I mean, come on! In this economy, everyone who has a job should be grateful for just that...and I had TWO!

I can't honestly picture it any other way, and I'm not sure that if I hadn't had to experience working two jobs at a time that I would be nearly as valuable to a full-time job opportunity as I am now.

I learned:
More effective problem solving.
Multitasking.
Customer service.
Sales (more importantly sales with HONESTY).
Humility.

And PLENTY of other things about people in a working environment (my co-workers) and customers who are sweet as pie until you tell them something they don't want to hear, and customers who are just rude no matter what. Kill them with kindness.

I can feel a new leaf turning over.

Saturday marks my last day at customer service at an electronics store and Sunday marks my last day at a shoe store that I am sad to give up my shoe discount to...haha. But, there is no need for any more pairs of shoes, trust me. Nor is there any more room.

So, here's to a new full-time job with BENEFITS none the less and hopefully a wonderful opportunity.

Cheers!
